The Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Cardiometabolism

The Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Cardiometabolism provides excellent care to patients with diabetes, endocrinology and/or cardiometabolic diseases. We provide comprehensive care, which includes a complete service of diagnosis and treatment of chronic complications of diabetes, education about the disease, exercise programs, nutritionist services and psychological support for our patients.

As part of the Centre, there are endocrinology clinics that focus on diagnosing and treating diseases of the thyroid gland, pituitary gland, adrenal gland, and osteoporosis. In the cardiometabolic part, we mainly deal with diabetes, dyslipidemias and obesity.

In addition to outpatient services, the Centre also offers day hospital services, nutritionist consultations and psychologist support.

In the day hospital, patients under the supervision of a diabetologist and a nurse (educator) can:

We provide all the currently available and most modern forms of education about basic disease, self-control and individual therapeutic goals
You will participate in exercise programs according to individual needs, depending on your cardiovascular (examination by a cardiologist) or musculoskeletal status (examination by a rheumatologist, physiatrist, or physical therapist).
 

We also provide nutritionist counselling, which is necessary for today's obesity pandemic and its consequences, as well as the support of psychologists in individual or group treatment.

The Centre also provides a complete diagnosis and treatment of chronic complications of diabetes, such as cardiovascular (examination by a cardiologist, ultrasound of the heart, ergometry, holter of blood pressure, spiroergometry, holter of ECG, doppler of arteries and veins of legs, ankle index-ABI) or neurological complications (neurological examination, dopplercarotid and vertebral arteries, EMNG).

 We are dedicated to educating patients about the disease, treatment options and recommended lifestyle habits.
